LOMOcean Design is unusual in it's ability to keep structural design of composite boats inhouse, with two specialist marine composite design engineers offering composite structural solutions that are fully integrated with all other elements of the boat design process.

These capabilities transcend the obvious elements of a boat structures such as the hull and deck shells, and the company and it's engineers have experience that covers a multitude of composite components from complex carbon fibre rudders, masts, keels, davits and lifting platforms to items as prosaic as GRP septic tanks and campervan bodies.
Analysis tools include outsourced software, but also a very significant component of inhouse developed software and spreadsheets, specifically developed for the materials and components under design. Specialist finite element work is sub-contracted, but LOMOcean Design engineering staff play a strong part in defining geometry, laminate specifications, laminate properties and load cases throughout this work.
