Introducing the 10m functional catamaran workboat Te Kauika, designed by LOMOcean Marine, and built by Legacy Marine.
Operating in and between the harbours of New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty coastline, it excels at its harbour master and regional council duties.
The twin hull design solution addresses the challenging brief with ease. Offering an impressive sprint speed for safe bar crossings, it also provides a smooth ride during rough coastal transits.
The low draft means it can go where other vessels can’t for shallow harbour operations, while the beam of the two hulled platform boasts a spacious working deck.
This inherently stable form can be further enhanced with flooding ballast tanks, making it ideal for deck crane and navigation marker operations. The multi role vessel is also equipped with an aft post for towing operations, along with a winch and bow roller for shifting mooring blocks.
Designed with practicality and performance in mind, this catamaran is the ultimate vessel for demanding harbour and coastal maritime tasks.
The enclosed wheelhouse provides crew and passenger seating for 4, along with a private head compartment recessed into a demi hull.
