#0302 Power Catamaran Aquavette

Aquavette was intended to fulfil the role of a quality, privately operated pleasure boat with charter capabilities, but is generally optimised for short duration coastal family cruising and sport fishing.

 

Construction is from medium-tech foam sandwich composite, utilizing epoxy resins, cross-linked PVC foams and E-glass stitched/knitted reinforcements. Some carbon fibre unidirectional material is specified in stiffness critical members where it is considered cost effective to do so.

 

The arrangement is divided into four basic areas the forward sleeping compartments, the main saloon/helm station and galley, the head and shower compartment and the cockpit.

Her twin 310hp diesels propel Aquavette to a genuine 40 knot sprint and an easy 30 knot cruise.

 

The hulls are incredibly soft riding, giving the boat the capabilities to run in weather that similar sized boats simply cannot. Her maiden trip ran 30 miles out in gale conditions, with her very happy owner calling only an hour and a half after departure to inquire why we bothered to specify windshield wipers, because no spray came on board during the trip.
