#1920 Mapso Luxor 26m Ferry

 

Styled after traditional Egyptian passenger vessels, two of these 26m steel ferries were built alongside each other on the sands of the banks of the Nile.

 

Operating out of the river city of Luxor, the boats can carry up to 250 passengers at 7 knots, using the very modest power of twin 100hp SCAM diesels.

The boat is designed to allow air to circulate, avoiding the need for air conditioning and is arranged to allow rapid boarding and alighting.
